When you think of Guilford, you may think first of the rigor and richness of its traditional liberal arts education. Or perhaps you reflect on the learning environment founded in Quaker values. Or maybe you think about the individualized faculty attention provided to each student.

Regardless of what your image of Guilford is, it has no doubt been realized through the assistance of the Annual Funds. The six annual funds are the lifeblood of Guilford, supporting nearly every aspect of life at Guilford.

The Annual Fund covers it all, from mundane tasks such as paying the light bills to providing scholarships so that outstanding students can attend Guilford, regardless of their family’s finances. The annual fund covers all aspects of Guilford’s commitment to preparing future leaders, supporting outstanding educators and building community.

The annual funds support Guilford’s core values—community, diversity, equality, excellence, integrity, justice and stewardship—in myriad ways. Your gift to the annual fund can reflect your passion by allowing you to direct your gift to one of six funds:

• Loyalty Fund supports operating expenses with unrestricted gifts.
• Quaker Club supports Guilford’s top quality NCAA Division III program.
• Friends of the Library Fund supports special collections and projects in Hege Library.
• The Friends Center General Fund supports speakers and programs at the Friends Center.
• Center for Continuing Education Fund supports a range of programs and scholarships to help adult students succeed at and graduate from Guilford.
• The NC Student Assistance Fund is part of the College’s response to a $2.5 million reduction in financial aid  for in-state students as a result of budget cuts by the General Assembly.  Guilford is embarking on an effort to raise $1 million in the next two years to help offset the College’s losses in state-funded financial aid for North Carolina resident students.

There are students who would not be able to come to Guilford if it weren’t for the aid they were given.
